
Shrimp Fry


This Shrimp Fry is simple, yet very delicious. It can be served with steamed rice or as an appetizer. A balanced diet that includes eating shrimp may be good for cardiovascular health. 100 g of shrimp has less than 0.3 g of fat and most of it is unsaturated. Ingredients
For Marinating the Shrimp
- Shrimp peeled & deveined – 1 lb (454 gm)
- Garlic/Ginger paste – 1 tsp
- Chili powder – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
- Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
- Chickpea flour or besan – 1 tbsp
- Corn flour – 1 tbsp
- Lime juice (from 1/2 lime) – ~2 tsp
- Salt – 1/4 tsp
For Seasoning

Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves – 1 sprig

Canola oil – 3 tsp
Method
-
Add all the “marinating ingredients” to the shrimp

Mix well to coat them evenly & set aside for 30 minutes

Heat oil in a non-stick skillet. Splutter fennel seeds & add curry leaves

Add marinated shrimp into it
-
Cook 15 -20 minutes with occasional stirring

Remove the skillet from the stove

Serve hot immediately & Enjoy!
