Zucchini Chutney is a South Indian condiment that can be served with Idli, Dosa, or Chapatis. This can also serve as a great dip for chips. It is easy to make yet very delicious.
Zucchini is loaded with many important minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. It is low in fat, high in fiber and potassium.  These properties help to maintain healthy blood pressure and a healthy heart. The health benefits of zucchini can be found by clicking the link here.

Recipe for making Zucchini Chutney


  • Big sized zucchinis – 2 (550 gm) 
  • Red chilies – 6
  • Raw peanuts – 2 tbsp or 25 gm
  • Urad dal – 1 tsp
  • Tamarind – 15 gm
  • Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves – 1 sprig
  • Canola oil – 2 tsp
  • Salt – 1/4 tsp


  • Chop zucchinis into small cubes
  • Preheat air fryer at 350 Deg for 5 minutes
  • Line the basket with parchment paper
  • Transfer the zucchini cubes, red chilies, peanut, & urad dal on it. Spray some canola oil
  • Air fry at 350 deg F for 20 minutes (alternatively you can bake or saute them in a non stick skillet on the stove top)
  • Transfer the roasted zucchini mix, tamarind, & salt into a blender
  • Blend them well
  • Season with mustard, asafoetida powder & curry leaves
  • Mix well before serving
